We present a video from a memorial ceremony for the suddenly deceased Shihan Robert Gembal 8th dan at the Aikido Foundation dojo in Gdansk, conducted by Hanshi Andre Cognard.
Aikido Foundation is traditional aikido and budo school based on transmission of Hirokazu Kobayashi, jiki deshi of O'Sensei. Hirokazu Kobayashi (1929-1998) influanced developement of aikido in Europe. The Aikido Foundation formed by Gembal Shihan is a part of the Kobayashi Ryu heritage and member of Kokusai Aikido Kenshukai (Kobayashi Hirokazu Ryuha).

Aikido Foundation (Kobayashi ryu) is based on transmission of Hirokazu Kobayashi (1929-1998). Aikido Foundation is related to Robert Gembal shihan and a member of Kokusai Aikido Kenshukai (Kobayashi Hirokazu ryu-ha). "The Heritage of an Aikido Master" documents the 30th anniversary celebrations of Academie Autonome d'Aikido founded in 1982 by Cognard Hanshi.

Piękna uroczystość.
Good aikido. Better than many. The spine is kept upright. I have seen many videos in which the tori leans forward during tenkan, which is a grave mistake. Not here.
